Tomato Puri

Tomato puri is a easy, colourful, tasty chaat made with puffed rice (murmura) mixed with some veggies and spices, toped on a tomato slice. Serve it immediately. This is my 1st experiment in kitchen. Hope you all enjoy it......


Ingredients:

6-7 slices of tomato
murmura
1 tsp oil
onion, finely chopped
carrot, grated
ginger,garlic,green chilli made into fine paste
salt as per taste
coriander leaves, finely chopped
sev for garnishing
chat masala
(all the ingredients can be adjusted according to one’s taste) 

Method:

1: In a bowl mix onion, carrot, green chilli paste, salt, oil and murmura.

2: keep tomato slices in a plate, sprinkle little salt on it and keep little murmura mixture on the top (you can see the picture).

3: Garnish with chat masala, sev and coriander leaves.

4: Eat right away.




NOTE: 

You can also use cucumbers instead of tomato or both. Here i used green chutney or mint chutney instead of green chilli paste.

Noodle chaat

Noodle chat recipe is an innovative way of making the noodles more appetizing and yummy.  This recipe is one of the experiments in my kitchen. Hope you will love the yummy noodle chaat.


Ingredients:

1chunk noodles, i used hakka noodles
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 potato - boiled, peeled and cut into cubes
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp chaat masala
lemon juice
salt to taste
oil to deep fry

For garnishing:

1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
coriander leaves, finely chopped
bombay sev or thin sev

Method:

1: Boil the noodles in salted water according to packet instructions until cooked.   Make sure you don’t overcook them. Drain, pour 1 tsp of oil over it and toss the noodles. This ensures that the noodles don’t stick.

2: Heat oil and deep fry the drained noodles in batches until crispy, golden in colour. Remove on a kitchen towel.

3: In a large bowl, break fried noodles in small pieces and add tomatoes, onions, potatoes, chaat masala, red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and mix well.

4:  Serve it in a bowl or plate, garnish with tomatoes, onions, thin sev, coriander leaves and serve immediately.

Banana Chaat



Banana chaat is an excellent and amazing chaat made with few ingredients and in less time. This recipe is my experiment in the kitchen. I swear you love this recipe.

Ingredients:

1 banana
salt to taste
1/4 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1/4 tsp chaat masala
few coriander leaves, finely chopped

Method:

1: Peel the banana, cut into small cubes or make slices.

2: Mix with dry powders, lemon juice and salt.




3: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Chapati Chaat

Amazing chaat made with left over chapatis. Other day i was thinking what to prepare with left over chapatis and i got this idea of making chapati chaat. I hope you all like this recipe.



Ingredients:

3 leftover chapatis
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
salt as per taste
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
oil for frying
coriander leaves, finely chopped

Method:

1: Keep the chapatis in an open air for 2 days so that they can dry and becomes crispy.

2: Cut the dried chapatis in small pieces (approx.1 inch).

3: Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chapati pieces till they turn to golden brown. Transfer it on a paper napkin to drain the excess oil.

4: Take fried chapati pieces in a large bowl, add all the ingredients, mix well.

5: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Note:

1: You can add grated carrot or sprouts to make it more tasteful.

Sweet Corn Chaat

 A very simple recipe of sweet corn liked by all, easy to make and good to taste, its simply superb chaat......


Sweet Corn Chaat

Ingredients:
1 cup sweet corn
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
1/2 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp chilli powder
few coriander leaves, finely chopped

Method:

1: Boil the sweet corn in water till its soft.

2: Drain and mix all the ingredients.

3: Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy!


Note: You can add any indian namkeen mixture (2 tbsp) as variation as it taste yummy.
